Directly over a frame bag or bikepacking bag&#8217;s strap line<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frame bags, saddle bags and top-tube bags may place straps against the frame. Repeated rubbing can affect the print or edges of a decal. Check contact points with the bags fitted rather than assuming a failure has one particular cause or timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fix:<\/strong>&nbsp;mount your bags first (or check where the straps sit), then place the sticker clear of that line \u2014 often a little lower on the down tube or on the seat tube instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Right where your knee or heel rubs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On some frame sizes and riding positions, the inside of the top tube or the chainstay area can get regular contact from a knee, heel, or shoe on every pedal stroke. It&#8217;s frame- and rider-specific, so there&#8217;s no universal spot to avoid \u2014 but it&#8217;s worth a quick check before applying: sit on the bike, pedal a few strokes, and see what actually brushes the frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fix:<\/strong>&nbsp;choose a smooth, uninterrupted area with no contact during your normal riding position. The top tube can work on some frames, but it is not universally suitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Over a suspension pivot or moving part<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On full-suspension mountain bikes and some gravel or adventure bikes, there are pivot points, shock mounts, and cable-routing sections that flex or move slightly as you ride. A sticker applied directly over or right beside one of these will crease, lift at the edge, or simply look odd once the part moves under it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fix:<\/strong>&nbsp;choose a fixed, permitted surface clear of pivots, shock mounts, cable movement and service access. Anywhere still wet, dusty, or greasy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A damp, dusty, greasy or contaminated surface can prevent satisfactory adhesion. If an edge lifts, inspect the surface, preparation and product rather than assuming the customer or the sticker is at fault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fix:<\/strong>&nbsp;use cleaning methods permitted by the frame or component manufacturer and allow the surface to dry completely. Do not assume solvents, including alcohol, are suitable for every finish.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. On braking surfaces, valves or inspection points<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Never cover rim braking surfaces, valves, component inspection areas or service access. Do not bridge a joint or place a decal where it could interfere with movement. Consult the wheel and component manufacturer before decorating those parts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fix:<\/strong> choose a permitted non-functional surface with adequate space and no interference; if there is none, leave that component undecorated.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Over serial numbers, safety labels or race identification<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keep serial numbers, certification labels, adjustment marks and required race identifiers visible.
