Cape Town Cycle Tour 2027 is announced for Sunday 14 March. The main event follows the published 109 km route around the Cape Peninsula. Whether you are riding locally or travelling with a club, organise your entry, bike transport and equipment early enough to enjoy the weekend.

Your name. Your flag. Your cycling challenge.

Give your bike a personal finishing touch with your name and flag. Choose contrasting lettering and check your design in the preview before ordering.
"Personalised

Cape Town Cycle Tour 2027: the 109 km event

The organiser's main-event page describes a road ride through the Cape Peninsula's coastal scenery. Use its current route information to plan the day and check any final changes before travelling. The separately advertised 42 km event is a different option; confirm which one you are entering.

Build your preparation around time on the bike, climbing and riding near other participants. A steady pace and familiar food are more useful than equipment you have never tested. Do a longer rehearsal ride with the shoes, saddle position and clothing you intend to use.

Entry and travel belong on the same checklist

Use the organiser's own registration links for availability, category rules and the current fee. Check how your start information and collection instructions will be delivered. Save the entry confirmation where you can access it when travelling, rather than relying on a single email being easy to find.

If you are flying, read the airline's bicycle policy and packing requirements before buying transport. Record how you dismantled the bike and protect the frame and components. Allow time at the destination to rebuild and test it, including a short ride to check shifting and brakes.

Make your bike ready for a coastal riding day

Check tyres, brakes and the security of bottles and accessories before the trip. Plan food, water and layers using the weather forecast close to the event, not a fixed assumption about Cape Town conditions. Keep repair items compatible with your own tyre system.

Agree meeting points with companions and leave room in the schedule for collection, transport and unexpected delays. If your club uses similar bikes or matching kit, a simple visual distinction helps everyone recognise their equipment at shared accommodation and packing points.

Name and flag for a personal cycling setup

A small name-and-flag decal on a contrasting frame gives your bike a personal detail that stays part of your setup after the event. Check spelling and flag selection in the preview and choose the pack according to what you want to personalise.

Order before your travel date, allowing for production and delivery to your actual destination. Apply the decal according to the supplied instructions and inspect it before putting the bicycle into its travel case. The goal is a finished setup before departure, not another task on collection day.

Order ahead of your trip, allowing time for production and shipping. Check the delivery information for your destination when ordering; do not leave personalisation until the final packing day.
