A road bike may suit some triathlon events, subject to their rules, but that does not make it equivalent to a dedicated triathlon design. Position, handling and equipment compatibility should match your event and riding needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trek designed the SLR 9 having in mind that people could take it to tournaments, but also they were looking forward to creating a bike that people could use while making something simple, <strong>like training with your team<\/strong>. The company truly wanted to give cyclists the best of both worlds with just one bike, which is amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, to be fair, that\u2019s not enough to say that a bike has enough <em>power<\/em>. We need to get into details to see everything that is waiting for us when we talk about the <strong>Madone SLR 9<\/strong>. What other surprises are we getting?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s something that we can\u2019t deny. <strong>A bike is nothing without its components<\/strong>. Trek is aware of that and that\u2019s why they decided to go with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pegatin.com\/blog\/what-does-shimano-gear-have-to-offer\/\">Shimano components<\/a><\/strong> for the earlier Madone build discussed here. This is not quite a surprise as we are aware that Shimano does create high-end components that are regularly seen among bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, we get to see the frame. As we mention in the beginning, <strong>the Madone SLR 9<\/strong> <strong>has an amazing aerodynamic frame<\/strong>.
